Benjamin Franklin Benjamin franklin had an effect on our understanding of electricity and shaped the language we you to talk about it. Benjamin franklin was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts. His father was a candle maker from England. His mom was a stay at home mom and had seven sisters and was born in Nantucket, Massachusetts. Benjamin had nine siblings in his family. He only had two years of education because his parents couldn't afford the fees. He worked with his father after he quit school, but he tried to read everything he could to get knowledge. When he was twelve he started working as an apprentice in a printer shop. He moved to Philadelphia when he was seventeen to get away from the apprenticeship and that was against the law. After he went to philadelphia he went to London, England to learn more about printing. Then he went back to philadelphia and began his career again printing. When he was twenty three he became a publisher. Benjamin published stuff that made him very we althy. He published for richard almanac for twenty-five years. Every year he published the almanac his financial stuff grew more secure. Benjamin kept reading and learning more about science and technology. Benjamin was a scientist and an inventor. franklin never patented his invention, so it is hard to know when he built them all the dates are predicted. Franklin wore glasses for most of his life and back then they didn't work that good, so he invented the bifocal specticals. The bifocal glasses had two lenses with different focusing distances. Then he built what is called the franklin stove which exchanged the heat with cold air and heated up the room it was in. Then he went to the pennsylvania malitia for the american revolutionary war. Benjamin created a group where scientists could share their theories about science stuff.
